Protecting Student and Civil Rights in the Educational Environment
The requirement for Oregon educator candidates to take and pass the ORELA Protecting Student and Civil Rights in the Educational Environment assessment has been revised. Some educator preparation providers (EPPs) meet this requirement through coursework and others will require passage of the assessment. Check with your EPP to determine your institution’s requirement.
The Protecting Student and Civil Rights in the Educational Environment Examination is a customized educator licensure test designed to measure a candidate's knowledge and skills in relation to Oregon learning standards.
Tests may include test questions that are being evaluated for future administrations and that do not affect a candidate's score.
