Middle Grades English Language Arts is a National Evaluation Series™ test. The National Evaluation Series™ educator licensure tests provide Oregon with comprehensive exams aligned to professionally accepted national learning standards.

Format	Computer-based test (CBT) and online-proctored test; 150 multiple-choice questions
Time	Computer-Based Testing 3 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for CBT tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 3 hours testing time	Online Proctoring 3 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 3 hours testing time
Breaks	Computer-Based Testing You may take restroom breaks during testing. Time taken for breaks is considered part of the available testing time.	Online Proctoring No breaks are allowed.

Score Reporting	Computer-Based Testing A scaled score is provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within two weeks of testing.	Online Proctoring Score reports are released within two weeks of testing. Candidates taking an online-proctored test will not receive preliminary test results when their test ends.
